Supervision for Counselors and Therapists

As a therapist for over 25 years, I have been actively involved in the graduate and postgraduate training of mental health professionals. I truly value mentoring newer therapists and offer clinical supervision for masters level counselors and clinical social workers (LSW, LAC) which meets the requirements for state licensure. Within a supportive accepting relationship, recent graduates can enhance their clinical skills, gain insight into both their clients and themselves, develop a greater comfort and ability in choosing and implementing different interventions, expand their theoretical knowledge and learn to navigate the wide array of experiences that newer therapists typically encounter.

I also provide supervision and case consultation to established therapists who may be looking to work more effectively within a particular model or client, seeking to expand their skills in case conceptualization, explore transference/countertransference issues, or implement new tools to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Counseling supervision and case consultations can not only clarify your understanding of the client but also of yourself as a therapist. It is a safe place to explore what the therapist brings to each clinical encounter and its impact on the client.

I also provide small Group Supervision for therapists who are looking for a cost effective alternative.In order to allow for in depth case discussions,groups are typically limited to 4 clinicians and meet bi-weekly for 90 minutes.Times are determined by members schedules.
